Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of responses of police officers to DUI instances in Charleston led to an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases.
